Today's event was a blast, the course was great and rewarded those who were smooth.
I would like to propose a rule change, S2000's can no longer run r-comps or need 500lbs of ballast in the trunk.
Anyway, here are 4 of my runs from today. There was so much wind noise I just added a soundtrack, everybody likes Tool right? I do need to get a little closer to the cones but I am much more pleased with my hand control compared to the last event at ACC.

And I noticed a lot of people taking pictures today, if anybody got a decent shot of my car please let me know. _________________ Professional Novice Driver

The event was pretty good, despite some of the problems we experienced today. I went to the Axware web site tonight (the company that makes our autocross timing software). Turns out we weren't the only ones who found problems with their last version of the software, from what I read in the forums.
They issued a new version which, from my limited testing, has corrected the issue.
There supposedly was a guy who was taking photos and had a web site where he planned to sell the pics - DJ, do you remember the name of the web site? _________________ EJ Smith - SM 10

Great footage!
I guess you made sure the camera was mounted higher than the cones when it was on the side of the car.
I thought the inside view was good, as was the soundtrack. _________________ _________________

I need to be able to drive this on the street, remember. I'm planning on doing some serious tranny & driveline work during the offseason, but I may get nuts and go with yet another suspension if I find a few bucks laying around. _________________ EJ Smith - SM 10

I was just trying to help. More power won't help much without being able to get it to the pavement. Besides, you always have the wife's car for a smooth ride . As fast as you were yesterday, a little more handling would have made you that much faster. _________________ Russ

No, if you were trying to help your suggestion would be accompanied by
Seriously, you're absolutely right, but I'm stuck for at least this season with this suspension. Believe me, the springs I'm running took a lot of the previous body roll out of it. I'll have to find someone to consult with to figure out what I want. The real tricky part is getting something that works on the track, on the street, and on the autocross course. That all adds up to 'compromise', which is pretty much what I have now. What's that old racing adage? Affordable, Fast, Reliable - pick any 2. I probably have to pick 1 of the 3 environs I listed. Once the kid goes to college I can switch it over to more of a competition car.
And of course, with a true coil-over suspension, I can then get wider wheels for running 285 or wider tires. I'm running out of tire right now, although I think the V700s got enough of the tread worn off now that they are more V710-like. New wheels and tires all add up to a ton of dough.
By 'tranny & driveline work', I mean the tranny and transfer case. The stock tranny is notoriously weak, so I want to upgrade the syncros and gears (I've got grinds in 2nd and 3rd), and now that I'm pushing some decent power through the driveline, I need to strengthen the transfer case, another stock weak spot. A buddy of mine shifted the way you're supposed to at Watkins Glen, while I just kept it in either 4th or 5th. My transmission held up, and he lost 5th and reverse after the frist day on his Evo. I'd like to start driving the tracks like they're supposed to be driven, which means shifting a lot more than I do now.
No more HP for me... for now. _________________ EJ Smith - SM 10

If you do this --I think you will see the greatest improvement. The 275's have been a real eye opener for me.
Of course --I do not plan on losing by 2/1000 ths next time EJ _________________ DJ

I don't have one of them green things let alone a box of them. Making stronger is definately a good choice. _________________ Russ
