Start/Finish: Malt River Brewpub at the Latham Circle Mall.
Registration Open: 3:30 PM
Entrants Meeting: 4:30 PM
Registration fee: $15 per car
First Car Off: 5:01 PM
100+ miles, some dirt roads but no car-breakers, 3+ hours, straightforward TSD (Time Speed Distance) format
Workers are needed to assist in all phases, most of which will allow participation in the
event.

On Saturday, November 8th, fall was definitely upon us. It was a sunny and brisk afternoon, but a hearty contingent
pulled themselves away from raking, shopping, chores [or just lazing about] to find their way to Malt River Brewpub
in Latham. Eleven cars started, eleven cars finished, and most seemed to be in reasonably good spirits at the end.
Comments ranged from "speeds seemed perhaps a bit brisk in spots" to "it was kind of a shock to
find out that we didn't have mileages given to us at every to turn" to "sure was dark out there".
Participants were entertained for three-plus hours by some of Rennselaer County's challenging roads and some basic
TSD problems, but no "traps" of the nature that would give lots of penalty points for a moment of error
or complexity that causes headaches. It seems like maybe we should have a special trophy for the family with the
most participants - thanks Harry! Thanks go to Eric, Chip and Arne for their help in putting on the event. Here's
