So what's an autocross?
Solo (or autocross) is a skill driving event in which one car at a time negotiates a prescribed course, usually set up in a large parking lot or an airport runway. Rubber cones (pylons) are used to define a variety of turns. The goal is to maneuver through the course in the lowest possible time. This means maintaining complete control while operating at the physical limits of both car and driver. High speed is not a factor.
There are local, regional and national solo championships available for those who wish to compete against the best. If you are really good, you could be national champion!
Beginners are enthusiastically welcomed. The Solo event staff are happy to answer your questions and to help you get started in the sport of Autocross. A limited number of helmets of various sizes are available at events if you don't own your own,
