The first events of the 2012 season approach: this Saturday, May 5, our first test-and-tune at McCarty Ave. in Albany, and the following day, Sunday, May 6, our first points event at the same location. Shake out the cobwebs Saturday or be prepared to be humiliated Sunday!

Don’t remember the schedule? Plan to arrive well before registration closes at 9:15 am, so you have plenty of time to walk the course. (New driver? Listen for a novice walk-through for helpful tips and pointers shortly before the drivers’ meeting.) Drivers’ meeting at 10 am, first car off shortly thereafter. Saturday’s test and tune is more laid back, and experienced hands will be available for ride-along instruction for new drivers or those wanting to improve.
We don’t have MotorsportReg set up as of this moment, but we do expect to begin to use it for pre-registering at autocross events sometime this season. Stay tuned.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first time aotocrussing on Sunday. Have already signed up for the 17th. Quick question: Did anyone happen to pick up a cooler and a folding chair?
