Cars needed: MoHud Display at Saratoga Auto Museum

MoHud has once again been asked to provide cars to display at the Saratoga Auto Museum as part of their Spring Car Show on May 20th, 2018.  MoHud usually provides 10-14 competition vehicles from Solo and Road Racing, and as such I’m looking for volunteers to bring their car to the show and add to our club’s display.  Here are some details:

  • Hours: Vehicles should arrive between 8:30 and 9am in front of the SAM (Saratoga Auto Museum).  The street address is 110 Avenue of the Pines, Saratoga, NY (Google maps shortcut – https://goo.gl/maps/d17rFHe9Gwx), and MoHud’s display is usually on the left side of the museum as you face it from the street.  EJ Smith or another MoHud member should be there to help direct you to where to put your vehicle. The event usually begins to wrap up around 3:30pm.
  • Weather: The car show is somewhat weather dependent.  A light sprinkle or the threat of a shower doesn’t impact the show or our display, but if there are heavy downpours that morning the show will likely be canceled. It’s best to have EJ’s contact info on hand to find out if there’s any word on weather impacts to the show.
  • Auto Show: The SAM will typically provide each of our entrants a free ticket to the main auto show, which takes place in the large lawn area between the museum and the Gideon Putnam Hotel.  You are welcome to go over and view the car show, as well as grab something to eat at lunch from the vendors on site.  You may also take in the SAM display within the museum, too, during the day.
  • MoHud Display: MoHud typically will set up an EZ-Up and a table to keep an eye on the cars, answer any questions from visitors about the cars, or MoHud in general.  We ask participants who bring their vehicles to spend some time in the tent so that everyone has a chance to visit the car show and to grab a bite to eat at lunch.
  • Vehicles: If you are interested in bringing your Solo or Road Racing vehicle to display, please contact EJ Smith (EJEvo8@gmail dot com) to volunteer your vehicle.  Vehicles for display should offer some level of interest to other enthusiasts. Road Racing vehicles fit that bill, but if you’re debating whether your Solo car qualifies please contact EJ Smith to discuss.
