We received word from the Empire State Aeroscience Museum (ESAM) that due to the current condition of the pavement at their site, autocross events are suspended until the site can be repaved. Our understanding is Schenectady County has made this decision and asked ESAM to notify MoHud. We do not have any information on when this situation will change, so until further notice the remaining Solo events for 2019 are tentative.

Will an alternative facility be pursued? I’m concerned that the repaving of ESAM could consume the entire season (or more): big cost to do it, lining up a contractor on relatively short notice.
Beyond this, the ESAM layout and tarmac size and restrictions lead to a pretty short list of course layout options.
MoHud is constantly in search of new Solo venues. Ideally we would like to have at least 2-3 sites to rotate through in a season, as well as have available for our Street Survival events. We ask that anyone with a lead on a new site to contact any of our officers, listed in the Directory page of our website. Thanks.
Lebanon Valley Dragway uses their lot for drifting, finding a useable date may be problematic.
There’s some history there that discourages us from pursuing that site.
State Farm has a facility in Malta on Rt 67, exit 12 off of I-87. They have 2 parking lots that may fit the bill and would likely be empty on Saturdays and Sundays. Perhaps they could be approached and part of the line of reasoning for the events is enhanced driver safety/learning/education. Here are google map links to both lots:

I emailed the head of auto cross about possibly using HVCC as a site I gave my teachers email so they could communicate and he could talk to the dean there could be possible to parking lots just at HVCC alone. He still hasn’t heard from anyone. Does anyone know who I should contact about getting communication going?
